Astrology: Fact or Fiction? What Does The Bible Say?

Image
What is "astrology"? It is the belief that the positions of the stars and planets somehow shape our personality and even influence the events of our lives. Every newspaper has a "horoscope" section which is divided into 12 sections representing the 12 different signs of the zodiac. According to this section of the newspaper, 12% of the planet's population is going to have pretty much the same kind of day. Since there are 6 Billion people on this planet, 720 million people are destined to have an identical day "according to the stars". Scientifically, logically, and biblically this is ridiculous. What about the percentage of those people who will die on that day? or lose a loved one? or suffer a life changing disease or accident? What does the Bible say about "astrology"? 19: and lest thou lift up thine eyes unto heaven, and when thou seest the sun and the moon and the stars, even all the host of heaven, thou be drawn awa...

Was there a Da Vinci Conspiracy?

Image
The Da Vinci Code  is not to be ignored as a fictional plot. Its premise, that Jesus Christ has been reinvented for political purposes, attacks the very foundation of Christianity. Its author, Dan Brown, has stated on national TV that, even though the plot is fictional, he believes its account of Jesus’ identity is true. So what is the truth? Let’s take a look. Do recently discovered manuscripts tell the truth about Jesus? Has a gigantic conspiracy resulted in the reinvention of Jesus? According to the book and movie,  The Da Vinci Code , that is exactly what happened. Several of the book’s assertions regarding Jesus smack of conspiracy. For example, the book states: “Nobody is saying Christ was a fraud, or denying that He walked the earth and inspired millions to better lives. All we are saying is ...

DO ANGELS FIGHT BATTLES? FIND OUT HOW THEY CAN HELP YOU!

Image
The book of Daniel offers a rare glimpse into the events that can occur 'behind the scenes' in the unseen spiritual realm. We will learn that angels and demons do indeed fight and that their battles concern who influences the destiny of nations and peoples. We will also discover the great campaigns a devil-led army will ultimately undertake against God and all those who uphold righteousness. Daniel 10 begins by telling us that the prophet had been fasting and mourning for three full weeks (verses 1 - 3). He then sees, near the river Hiddekel, a vision of one of God's righteous angels. The angelic being states that God sent him the moment Daniel began to humble himself and pray for understanding (verse 12). Did you catch that? The spirit being (who was very likely the archangel Gabriel, see 8:16 and 9:21), traveling in the spirit realm, took a FEW WEEKS to reach the prophet from God's throne! What would cause such an unusual delay? Gabriel, w...
